- The Northern Circuit route is a fantastic way to experience Kilimanjaro, if you have an extra day or two. Keep in mind that long daily hikes can get tiring if you are not used to long hiking trails.

- The extended version of Northern Circuit route includes two extra days to get proper acclimatization before overnighting at Crater Camp (18,800 ft), which may be the highest elevation you'll ever spend the night!
- Lower success rate, as sleeping at this elevation many find diffuclt and impacts summit success
